REVolting - There He Goes Again
I’m starting to think that Pat says this stuff to get attention. I watched my mother suffer a massive stroke in August of 2004. Sharon’s family needs comfort and prayers at a time like this. Not Pat’s pontifications. I find it appalling that a Christian leader would offer us such an insulting explanation for the ways of God in this or any other situation – particularly at a time like this. Pat, would you please stop embarrassing the Christian family? Televangelist: God's Wrath Hit Sharon?

I concur. It seems he (Pat) needs a lot of attention. I am a proponent of the theory that there is a common genetic flaw that drives this behavior.... it is the same gene that shows up in Ward Churchill, Pat R. and several sports celebrities.

Beware those who presume to know God's intent when he allows suffering! Such unabashed arrogance! PLEASE don't even try to figure out the why when woe hits! Just love those who are hurting!

I met Pat Robertson a few years ago at a function in which he was the keynote speaker. While he seemed very warm and engaging, I do believe that he getting some perverse pleasure in the "shock value" effect that his comments have. MHR...got any more of that duct tape from your "Core Values" series??? Maybe you could send him some with a note of how and where to apply it!!
