REVolting - World Series Slipping Away?

After the Red Sox victory tonight, there’s still a chance, but it’s looking bleak. Like many, I had hoped that returning to Coors Field would help the Rockies to get a game. But, it was not to be.
GAME 4 is tomorrow night…and thanks to a generous friend, Jan and I will be at the game. We have great seats, and I’m hoping that this will be the turn-around night for the Rox! I’m considering violating my “no-prayer” policy. I really want the boys to win at least one game!

I had to do some real "soul-searching" last night after the game. I need to keep this whole thing in perspective...it is afterall just a game. There is no eternal value in the game itself, but there is certainly GREAT eternal value in the PLAYERS of the game. God can use the game of baseball, or anything that He so chooses, to bring about His eternal plan.
I am so proud of these young men and what they've accomplished. No one would have ever guessed it in a million years. Even if they don't win the World Series, just making it there is something we can all tip our Rockies hats to. I'm not "throwing in the towel" though just yet...the Rockies are the "come back boys." They just might surprise the whole world...and if not, then they've accomplished more than most MLB teams ever will :-) WE SALUTE YOU, ROCKIES!!
Just a side note...I saw an interview yesterday with Aaron Cook, the Rockies' starting pitcher for game 4. He professed his faith in God and quoted word for word James 1:2-3. I am asking the Lord to honor him tonight...whatever that looks like.
Lastly, Mr. and Mrs. Rev, I truly believe you will have the privilege of attending the first game of this World Series that the Rockies win...I'm so excited for the two of you! Coors Field is going to be electrifying tonight :-) HAVE FUN!!
