Well, FUB, you definitely don't need THAT snow blower for your very short driveway. However, I say just buy one. The snowfall you got last year and are apparently in for already this year seems monumental. While your driveway isn't big at all(at least not compared to our very long Michigan driveway) a snowblower is much faster than shoveling. Shoveling is great exercise, but for a man of your age it may prove to be a difficult chore year after year. And given your OCD, type A personality, I know you're all about the very neat lines that a snowblower produces. We'll be waiting to see pictures posted here of that neatly blown driveway soon. Love you!! : )

Personally, I think your MO is to keep mentioning this snowblower and that you haven't bought it yet but really want one, and hopefully someone will finally get the hint and buy it for you...lol...sorry, I get the hint, but I am also a poor college student. ;) If I had an endless supply of money, Denver would have heated streets so that we could all enjoy the snow without having it stick to the roads and slow everything down. If only....

Oh, heck, just go for it. I sure could use one right about now. This is our second wild and wooly winter in a row. But, if you LOVE the exercise then continue to resist. Dithering must be limited to just one more day....just kidding.

MHR ~
A neighbor of ours apparently received a snow blower for Christmas. The entire cul-de-sac knows this because this wonderful man just HAD to try it out! Not only was the whole sidewalk "blown", but a small area in the street in front of EVERY driveway too! God bless Gordon!:-) I say, JUST DO IT!

Hooray! My husband finally bought the snow blower. I thought it was an essential with a driveway facing the north. The dilemma is no longer! The time it took to recover from shoveling during last year- (YIKES!) and still it was ice for months. (I bet we make some fast friendships in the neighborhood now).

Hi MHR...we just got a snowblower this year...and love it. However, somehow Bryan ends up using the blower and I end up shoveling...go figure! A word to the wise though...as with lawn mowers and other big equipment...avoid the big box hardware stores...their "brand name" products are not the same quality as those sold by dealers. The big box lower prices are because they are manufactured differently than the same brands sold at dealers.
