Iran’s President Ahmadinejad is acting like he always does.  In the past, it’s “Israel needs to be wiped from the map.”  “Who knows whether this supposed holocaust occurred in Europe?”  “We don’t have any homosexuals in Iran.”  His latest lunacy is – "Four or five years ago, a suspicious event occurred in New York. A building collapsed and they said that 3,000 people had been killed but never published their names."

While I’m not surprised at Ahmadinejad’s delusional rantings, I am surprised that the Iranian people continue to put up with this guy.  The Iranian people are not senseless or uneducated.  They saw the same TV footage of planes flying into buildings as we did.  They saw the same images of people jumping from building as we did.  They saw the same ID photos of the 19 hijackers that we did.  How they continue to tolerate Ahmadinejad as their leader mystifies me.

Incidentally, I’d love to hear how any of the current American presidential candidates think they are going to be able to sit down and reason with a guy like this!
