REVealed: More than 10,000 (Just read updated item that estimates casualties at 100,000!) feared dead in Myanmar cyclone

In the wake of a 120 mph cyclone this past Saturday, over 10,000 –now estimated at 15,000, 22,000, 100,000 are feared dead in Myanmar, the Asian country formerly known as Burma. Rescue and relief efforts have been confusing since Myanmar’s repressive regime holds tight control over the country. Today, First Lady Laura Bush held a press conference to address this humanitarian disaster. News agencies are reporting that this is the worst natural disaster in the area since the devastating tsunami of December 2004, which killed over 230,000 people. Predictably, the need for clean water, medicine, and mosquito nets is immense and immediate. I’m posting this to remind you to PRAY for the people of Myanmar.
