REVerie - Family Visit - Decreased Blog Activity

Decreased blog activity often signals that “life” is taking priority over blogging.  That’s what’s been up the past week.  Jan and I enjoyed a two-part visit from one of our nieces, her husband, and their two precious kids, ages 7 and 5.  They arrived last Sunday for a couple night stay prior to leaving on Tuesday for Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico.  They returned Thursday night, and left today, after the early service at FBC.

Among the many activities, we enjoyed a trip to the Denver Zoo and a bowling excursion at Lucky Strike.  It is amazing to experience the zoo and bowling from a kid’s perspective.  There is such a sense of wonder that many of us sadly lose as we age.  Their energy astounds me.  They keep going and going and going….yes, like the Energizer Bunny! 

Since we’ve not been blessed with our own children, our nieces and nephews are very special to us.  Thanks, Sarah, Lance, Isabella, and Micaiah, for including us in your vacation plans this summer.  We love you, and miss you already!
