Jan and I have the privilege of attending a wedding this evening. One of our friend's sons is getting married. I'm taking the night off from our Saturday PM service to join with our friends in this celebration. We are honored to be invited, and want to honor this invitation by participating.
For some reason, "weddings" have a whole new meaning in our culture. I don't know if other people feel this way, but I do today -> by going to this wedding: 1) I'm honoring the fact that a man and woman are choosing to be married. 2) I'm honoring the fact that the man and woman are both Christians, making this a Biblical union. 3) I'm honoring the fact that rather than living together, this man and woman will make vows before God today to be faithful and love one another until death separates them. 4) I'm honoring the fact that this man and woman want witnesses to join them in a God-honoring ceremony. The more I think about it, the more excited I am to go!
As I sit in the audience at this wedding later today, I am taking a stand with this couple and their families. By attending a wedding, I hope to honor marriage.

MHR,
Bill and I are attending a wedding 2 weeks from today in Ft. Collins. The way you described this couple is exactly the way I would describe the couple that we are privileged to celebrate their marriage vows with. They are both in their early 20's and have been committed to sexual purity throughout their lives and relationship. They have been and will continue to be focused on honoring their Lord as they make this life-long committment. How refreshing this is considering the day and age we live in!!
